Description:
The Roman Army Museum, located next to one of the best-preserved sections of Hadrian’s Wall, brings history to life with impressive 3D technology in a specially designed film theatre and interactive displays that show what life was like for soldiers on the northern frontier. The museum features an accessible Latin classroom where a holographic teacher from the past delivers lively lessons in maths and morals. Visitors can also see rare Roman artefacts, including the only known surviving Roman helmet crest and a set of four hipposandals, or Roman horse shoes.
