Description:
A 6‑stage, 109 km adventure through rugged Highland history
The Clan Ring is a demanding long‑distance walk, best suited to hikers with solid navigation skills and confidence using map and compass. The route traces the southern edge of the Highlands—once the frontier where clans launched daring raids into the Lowlands—and leads you through landscapes shaped by centuries of conflict, cattle lifting, and clan rivalry. Along the way, you’ll pass the sites of some of the fiercest battles in Highland history, all set against sweeping views and remote terrain.
