Description:

A 4-stage 65 km easy walk, mostly on well defined paths, with no special difficulties. The Clyde Walkway is a walk with a difference. Unlike other long distance walks the trail stays close to urban centres.

From Glasgow City Centre into the countryside via Strathclyde Country Park and Strathclyde Loch, passing through mature woodland and farmland through orchard country and wooded gorges to the end of the trail in New Lanark. Beautiful scenery and many interesting sites which offer insights into the rich cultural, natural and industrial heritage of the Clyde Valley.

Stages:

  1. Glasgow - Cambuslang 14,5 km (Easy)

  2. Cambuslang - Strathclyde Loch 17,5 km (Easy)

  3. Strathclyde Loch - Mauldslie Bridge 12,5 km (Easy)

  4. Mauldslie Bridge - New Lanark 13,5 km (Easy)
