Description:

Standing on the summit of Ben Wyvis feels like being on top of the world, with the Highlands stretching out far below. The mossy blanket at the top hides plenty of secrets, from dotterel nesting in summer to the snowy white plumage of winter ptarmigan. The slopes are home to a rare mix of plants tough enough for the harsh environment. On still days in late October, the air echoes with the roaring of red deer stags in rut.
