Battle site of Airidh-Dhamh (1506) ***

Description:
Due south of Strathy Point near Kinbrace, 2 km to the west of Loch Ruathair, a bloody engagement erupted in 1506 between Clan Gunn and the Sinclairs.
The Sinclairs were defeated and chased all the way to the top of Ben Griam More. Next day Clan MacKay put in an appearance and now the Sinclairs were in real trouble. They were almost annihilated and had to flee for their lives. There is no visible reminder at all but the scenery is spectacular. Your own imagination has to do the 'work here.
