A very pleasant country town. To be honest I had no high hopes for 'another' country town struggling to attract visitors to it's drab and unremarkable centre. How wrong I was! True, this is not your typical picturesque village with whitewashed cottages lining the streets. No, it is just a small town (large village) with lots of interesting nooks and crannies. Many streets are quite narrow and the village is a pleasantly busy community with at its heart the village square with an attractive fountain. East Linton still has that all important rural charm with traditional pubs, quite a few interesting shops and many other services.
