East Linton

A very pleasant country town. To be honest I had no high hopes for 'another' country town struggling to attract visitors to it's drab and unremarkable centre. How wrong I was! True, this is not your typical picturesque village with whitewashed cottages lining the streets. No, it is just a small town (large village) with lots of interesting nooks and crannies. Many streets are quite narrow with at its heart the village square with an attractive fountain. East Linton still has that all important rural charm with traditional pubs, quite a few interesting shops and many other services.
