Description:
One of the wildest spots in southwest Scotland, Cairnsmore is surprisingly easy to reach and a dream for walkers. You can wander through the stark yet stunning scenery on the gentle In-bye Trail or tackle the tougher mountain path to the Clints of Dromore. The reserve is dotted with striking sculptures that blend seamlessly into the landscape. Towered over by a dramatic granite hill shaped by the elements, it offers a real taste of the Scottish wilderness, with breathtaking views over the Cree Estuary and across the border toward England’s Lake District.
