Description:

Although this is one of the wildest places in southwest Scotland, it is surprisingly accessible. Cairnsmore is a paradise for walkers. Explore the bleak but beautiful surroundings on the low-level In-bye Trail or the more strenuous mountain route to the Clints of Dromore. The reserve features several beautiful sculptures designed to blend in with the landscape.

Dominated by an imposing granite hill, shaped and sculpted by the elements, this nature reserve offers a true taste of the Scottish wilderness, with superb views over the Cree Estuary and stretching across the border towards the Lake District in England.
