The "Wailing Widow Falls" also known as "Loch na Gainmhich Waterfall" or "Allt Chranaid Waterfall". This is an impressive spectacle but funny enough it is quite unknown and often bypassed by people hastening to bag their personal NC500 certificate (very important!!!). From the small parking space near Loch Gainmhich there is a rough track to the bottom of the falls. One of the best viewpoints ever! The surrounding scenery is out of this world!
Alternatively, you can walk higher up by the loch. This is also the starting point for a walk to go see Eas a’ Chual Aluinn, Britain’s highest waterfall, several kilometres southeast. For the walkers among you.....just do it!
