Description:
This crumbling tower-house perches dramatically on the edge of a steep cliff that plunges to the sea. Much of it still rises to its full four storeys and attic, but one corner has collapsed entirely, leaving the interior exposed without the need to step inside—though entering would be dangerous. Once home to the Earls of Caithness and later two other Sinclair family branches, it was finally left behind when the new Keiss Castle was built in 1755.
