A ruined tower in a marvellous position on the head of a rocky promontory about a mile south of Portpatrick. and is considered a 'nationally important' archaeological site. Dunskey was built in the mid-16th century for the Adairs of Kinhilt. This family also owned the Castle of St John in Stranraer. The building has been derelict since 1700. There is no access to the castle interior, but it can be seen from the on coastal path from Portpatrick.
