Description:

In 1690, on the low ground called 'The Haughs of Cromdale', the 800 Highlanders from the Killiecrankie campaign were surprised and routed by 'Williamite’ troops (government troops loyal to William III). This night assault went down into history as the 'Rout of Cromdale'.
