Description:

The tower was likely built in the mid-16th century but was partly taken down in 1592 by order of James VI. Near the doorway, you can spot the marriage stone of Phillip and Mary Scott, who lived there in the 1590s. Their daughter, known as the 'Flower of Yarrow', was famed for her beauty in her time.
