North Harris Eagle Observatory / Isle of Harris ***

Description:

The North Harris Eagle Observatory is situated right in the heart of the territory of a pair of golden eagles, perfect for watching their daily activities.

The Observatory commands spectacular views up Glen Meavaig. There are information panels inside, and at times the North Harris Ranger will be on hand to answer questions and help locate these magnificent birds. Golden Eagles are most active during bright breezy weather, and are usually spotted in flight above the skyline. Frequent scanning of the skyline with binoculars is usually the best way to locate them.
