Dryhope Tower *
Region: Lothian & Scottish Borders
This tower was probably built in the middle of the 16th century but was partially dismantled in 1592 by the order of James VI. By the doorway you’ll see the marriage stone of Phillip and Mary Scott who lived in the tower in the 1590s. Their daughter was known as the Flower of Yarrow, a celebrated beauty of her day.
