Description:

This glen has long been known as one of Scotland’s most scenic spots, offering a magical mix of native woodlands, shimmering lochs, and atmospheric moorlands. In Gaelic, ‘strath’ means ‘broad valley,’ and Strathglass encompasses three stunning glens – Glen Strathfarrar, Glen Affric, and Glen Cannich – each blending mountain vistas, ancient Caledonian forests, rivers, and striking waterfalls. Glen Affric, in particular, is famed as one of Scotland’s most beautiful wilderness areas and is now a national nature reserve.

Renowned for its 30 miles of ancient pinewoods – among the largest in Scotland – Glen Affric invites you to stroll beneath towering pines, with the songs of woodland birds as your soundtrack. It’s also home to ospreys, elusive otters, and red- and black-throated divers, making it a spectacular place to explore, especially in autumn.
