Description:

Raised and blanket peat bogs make this one of Scotland’s most accessible National Nature Reserves. A wide, well-surfaced path leads from the car park to the edge of the Moss, where a short circular boardwalk takes you right into its heart—without getting your feet wet! It’s easy to forget you’re so close to one of Scotland’s busiest areas as you wander through this tranquil spot, with nodding white bog cotton in early summer or the sudden, raucous call of a red grouse bursting from the heather.
