The above picture shows the grave of James III at Cambuskenneth Abbey.
In 1488 James III faced his son James IV in battle at Sauchieburn and he lost. Not only the battle but the crown and, shortly afterwards and under very mysterious circumstances, his life as well.
The exact spot where the battle took place is still under debate.
