Description:

The mudflats and saltmarsh of Caerlaverock offer a winter feast for birds, with a network of paths featuring raised boardwalks, a viewing platform, picnic spots, cycle racks, and a hide for wildlife watching. Right next to the National Nature Reserve is the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust Centre. This rugged and beautiful reserve provides open spaces and peaceful wildlife encounters. Stroll through wildflower meadows to spot orchids, butterflies, and dragonflies, or witness the stunning spectacle of winter migration.
